Cornish Hall Canter
Another of Essex Trail Event’s fine events, and 6 Witham runners trotted up the start line, saddling themselves for a gallop to Finchingfield and back. Stable running conditions meant for good times, and Nick Looby and Terry Alabaster really had the bits between their teeth, finishing in 1:35:08. Jockeying for 3rd and 4th were Geoff Reddin and Andy White, completing the course in 1:36:36, while Gerry Greenwold and Brigid Wallen came in at 1:39:37. Brigid was also 5th women. Good work!
London Triathlon
Andy Notley was at the London triathlon, and completed 5 triathlons. I’ll say that again, but slowly. Andy…Finished…Five…Triathlons. Three Olympic distance triathlons, a sprint triathlon, and a super sprint distance triathlon. Thought for the week: “There should be an Olympics but with normal people chosen at random, like jury duty.”
