Quite a few races this week/weekend – lucky for me, at least one person from each race submitted a result 😊
Havering 90 Joggers Midweek 5
Tony Easter was at this midweek 5 miler in Romford. He ran a PB time of 39:10 – great work Tony!
Sudbury Friday Night 5
Another race in the Suffolk Friday Night 5 series, Anthony Smith was our sole representative. He finished in 47:50 – well done Tony!
Sundowner Marathon
Hosted by our own Matt Jordan, this (as the name suggests) is an evening-to-night marathon, through a variety of terrains. Five brave souls took on biblical weather conditions, with several other WRC members volunteering. Well done to all who took part!

Boxted 10k/5k
Hosted by Boxted Runners, with all proceeds going to the local school, there were 2 distances to choose from. Well done to Terry, Ross, and Colsey, coming 1st , 1st, and 3rd in their respective age groups!

Ross Silverton completed the 5k in 34:54, as first MV70.
Southend Half
A decent turnout for this Club Champs race, including recent returning members Rachel Rising, and Michael Higgins, with Michael grabbing a PB, and Rachel finishing 2nd lady, and 1st F35.
Well done to Lisa Leader, who shaved almost 2 minutes of her PB, coming in under 2 hours for the first time. Great running from everyone!

High Easter 10k
This is a relatively flat 10k, on picturesque country roads in High Easter. Only 3 members at this one, most likely due to all the other events going on this weekend.

Rainbow Run
Jodee Mayer was at this 6 hour lapped event, in Sherwood Pines Forest. She completed 4 laps (over 14 miles) in 3:04:42. Well done Jodee!
Swansea Half Marathon
Dan Griffiths was on home turf at this coastal half, on closed roads. He finished in an impressive 1:28:29. Great run, Dan!
Well done to everyone who raced and volunteered this week, including at our JR5k on Thursday – busy week!
