There was plenty of activity going on over the Easter weekend, including of course the Easter Eggstravaganza.

Easter Eggstravaganza is a trail series organised by  Mid Essex Casuals, Little Baddow Ridge Runners, Springfield Striders and Essex Trail Events,. There are prizes based on the best three of four results achieved over the four days. Full results for all four days can be found on the ETE website, but the highlights are below 😊

 

Day One

6.6 miles

Andrew Smith, Karen Pickering (welcome!) and Vikki Suett (welcome back!)  all completed the distance in 56:32, while Terry Alabaster and Claudia Baba finished in 1:05:34

4.2 miles

Clarice Sanderson and Sian Tate finished in 51:46

Day Two

9 miles

Fiona Collins took on the longer distance option and finished in 1:35:54

5 miles

Terry Alabaster took on the 5 miles and finished in 2^nd place in 47:28, completing his second distance of the series.

Day Three

We had no runners in the 11 miles option, but Claudia and Terry were out again in the 5 miler. Terry finished in 4^th place in 49:33 and Claudia in 59:24.

Day Four

The final day’s race was over a single distance of 6.25 miles.

Terry Alabaster finished in joint 7^th place for his 4^th day of racing, in 49:15.

Clarice Sanderson finished in 1:14:01, while Shane Ketteridge and the Reads ran together until Andrew got ditched at the very end

Overall

Terry Alabaster completed all 4 days and finished 4^th overall in the series. Well done Terry!

London Easter 10k

Stamatios Katsimis was in Regents Park, where he ran a PB of 42:21, and 2^nd MV50! Great work, Stam!

 

Stevenage Spring Half Marathon

Simon Parsons was in Stevenage where he completed his 45^th half marathon in a cracking 1:39:45, and 3^rd MV 50. Great work!
