Results 5/10/25

6 October 2025 - By Natalie Lilley

LOTS of running again in this very busy part of the race season. Well done to all who ran, and thanks to all who submitted results.

Southend 10k

A decent turn out for this County Champs race. We probably could have had more out, if not for its proximity to Chelmsford and the Tiptree 10 next week. Some great running – hopefully the vicious headwind on the way back was offset slightly by a tailwind on the way out!

Congrats to Owen and Jamie who both won County medals for their respective age groups, and well done to Lisa Leader, who ran as a pacer and was pretty much bang on her time.

I imagine this coastal trail 10k was equally breezy!

Cardiff Half

Martin Saville headed West for this “Superhalf” in Cardiff, which he completed in a time of 1:49:18. Martyn has now completed 2 Superhalfs (halves?), however, I’m not sure that completing the same one twice counts..

Victoria Park 10k

Ann Johnson is on a roll at the moment, bagging yet another PB at this Run Through 10k in a time of 1:07:42 – great work Annie!

Chester Marathon

Michael Higgins ran his first ever marathon over in Chester, in a very impressive 3:12:42 – well done Michael!

Saxmundham 5 mile

Craig Vernon was in Suffolk for this mixed terrain 5 miler, finishing in 48:13. Well done!

Summit Mentality Backyard Ultra

Fiona Collins was at this lapped event – runners complete a 4.1 mile loop every hour, until only one runner is left! Fiona was the last woman standing, with a distance of 56 miles.
