No shortage of varied fixtures again this week!
Two Towers 50k
Harry Solomon took part in this night trail ultra, organised by Canary Trail Events.
No official results have been published yet, but Strava tells me that harry completed the 50k in 6 hours & 12 minutes.
Reservoir Jogs
I believe there were 5, 10 and 15 mile options for this MEC trail event, and Terry and Claudia both opted for 15. They finished 4th and 5th, with Claudia having presumably lost out to Tel in the sprint finish/mystery “adjustments” 😊 (clearly some similar arrangement going on in 14th/15th, which I’ve just been alerted to).

Maldon Half Marathon
We had runners and volunteers out at this hilly half. Well done all.

Loch Ness Marathon
Angela and Andrew Read decided to take to the Highlands for (both of) their first ever marathons. This event is sponsored by Baxters, so hopefully some soup in the goody bag.
I haven’t been informed whether there were any confirmed Nessie sightings, sadly.

Berlin Marathon
I absolutely did not forget about a little marathon going on in Berlin, where Owen Dare recorded a time of 2:56:36 – amazing enough to us mere mortals, but factoring in Owen’s shortened training block due to injury, an incredible effort.
Warsaw Marathon
I also didn’t forget that Giles Sowerby was in Warsaw, also coming in under 3 hours at 2:56:18.
Well done, everyone! Gold stars to those who submitted results. Demerits for those I had to Strava stalk.
