Well, that was quite a weekend! I hope runners and supporters alike are all recovering well 🙂

 

Friday Night Lights 5k

Dawn Shilling took part in this London Marathon-adjacent Friday night event in Battersea Park, finishing in a twinkly 31:06

 

Flycarb Colchester 5k

This is the first in a series of 5ks, hosted at the Colchester track, and organised by Tempo Radley.

We had a couple of runners pacing the open event, I think (please do let me know, as I don’t have any submissions), and one racer, in the form of Owen Dare who, of course, got a PB, a club record, and a Platinum standard with his INCREDIBLE time of 17:33.

 

Reverse NODNOL

Dean Whittaker took on the marathon route in reverse, at the informal but increasingly popular “reverse LONDON”, which takes place after midnight before the official event.

He finished in 5:44 (Strava time), along with Chrissy & Ian Cuthbert.

 

TCS London Marathon

A huge (relatively speaking) turnout of WRC runners at the Big One in London this year, and as ever they were supported by an army of black & gold fans throughout the course.

Congrats to everyone who ran – we had several PBs, a first marathon, and a couple of runners competing for the first time in WRC colours.  Well done to everyone!
