A real mix of events again this weekend, with members out on road, trail, at canicross, and a night ultra!
The website describes this race as “A challenging night trail race on the beautiful and rugged cliffs of Guernsey”.
31 miles, with 2300 metres of elevation. On cliffs. At night. Do I even have to say who from WRC ran this?
Matt Jordan came in 10th place, in a time of 7:15:48
Will Radley and Damien Walsh ventured to the South coast for this “breezy” 10k, both gaining great PBs in tough conditions.
|53||Will Radley||34:40 PB|
|107||Damien Walsh||36:32 PB|
Tailrunners Canicross 5k Race:
The dogs of WRC were out to show us all how it’s done at this 5k in Hadleigh Country Park. (and their owners were allowed to tag along).
|26||Andrew and Bevan Read||34:01|
|37||Lysia and Finn Jiggins||40:49|
Hadleigh 10 mile
Adam, Anthony and Ross were also in Hadleigh, but this time in a 10 mile road race. Well done gents!
MEC Fox and Hounds trail
Looks like there was plenty of mud at this 6.5 mile narrative trail hosted by Mid Essex Casuals
St. Neots Half Marathon
Stephen Sawyer was the only WRC rep at this half, finishing in an impressive 1:24:25
Thought of the week: “It’s only when put on the spot to come up with a Thought of the Week, every week, that one realises how few interesting thoughts one has”
