Sunday – the distances some people will travel to avoid Cross Country!!

Paphos City 10k, Paphos, Cyrpus

The Cyprus Challenge runs each year over 4 days with a 6k TT, 11k mountain race & half marathon; finishing off with a 10k around the city starting at the castle on the harbour. Thinking we’d get a bit of peace a quiet, we entered the 10k, only to arrive at the start line to find half of the Tiptree mens A team along with runners from Harwich, Haverhill and Dunmow dotted about!!

The 8am start finished with Keo beer on tap for all competitors at the castle, which after 4 days of competition was creating a lot of excitement.

For the record I finished in a leisurely 51m 40s, and Mrs H came over the line chasing 4 guys dressed as Wonder Woman in a time of 1h 5m 30s

Florence Marathon, Florence, Italy

Down in historical and very rainy Florence, Louise Pascoe and Haydeh Safavi were running their last Marathon of the year!

Crossing the line together in 4h 43m 58s, it was a big PB for Haydeh
