Pub runs – The Monkey, Terling.
24 May 2017 - By Stewart Waller
A glorious evening attracted another huge attendance at Tuesdays pub run from The Monkey in Terling with 39 staying on for food plus many others just rehydrating. A new venue on the summer schedule it is blessed with a large car park, a rarity for us and quiet lanes which made for pleasant running especially as a lucky few of us managed to glimpse a barn owl out on an early evening hunt – another rarity these days.
It’s pleasing to see that the pub runs are becoming increasingly popular offering not only different routes every week but the opportunity to socialise after the run so if you haven’t been to one yet why not come along?
Next week we are back at The Compasses in Littley Green. Jos Ridley accommodated us there at the beginning of May when we were let down at the last minute by another pub hence the speedy return but it is, as ever, a great pub with largely traffic-free routes.
See you there.
Stewart
