Not another diary date??

Yep, afraid so, but a good one (aren’t they all?).

If it’s me asking for volunteers then it must be the Halstead Marathon (now in its 26th year) which will take place on the 10th May.

Long standing members will know that each year we man and woman a water station as a way of helping our friends at Halstead Road Runners. Additionally this gives us the opportunity to support any of our own members who may be running. It is also a lot of fun I promise you.

I know that this is soon after the May Day 10, where your help is also required, but if you can spare a few hours please make a note of the date. I’ll collect names later. Championship points are also up for grabs for all helpers as is a commemorative T shirt.

Incidentally, if you are looking for a marathon to run this is a good one. It may be slightly undulating but it is extremely well organised and is consistently rated one of the top marathons in the country. Give it a try, I may see you there!
