NESS XC 2025/26 R4 – Results
26 January 2026 - By Jodee Mayer
The words “typical cross country weather” were heard more than once this morning, as it chucked it down before and after the race, but luckily it stayed dry for the event itself.
Firstly a massive thanks to Jenny Layley and Sian Tate for helping score and take many a photo and to Sian, Clare Boston, James Montgomery and Ian Lucas who baked some excellent post run treats.
A new fixture for this season, there is no hiding the fact that the course was just a *little* short but it is always good to have a new fixture and I hear the course was a good one – with ups and downs and some “steeple chase” obstacles. BDAC have said that they hope to make the course longer for next year now we have demonstrated to the landowners how it works. Any feedback let me know and we will pass this on.

We had some great individual performances, but huge shout out to Will coming 2nd in the men’s race and Sally coming 3rd in the women’s race.
We came 3rd in the men’s race….

and 3rd in the women’s race…

which put us 4th on points on the day…
and 3rd overall!

We are 2 points behind Ipswich, just 1 point ahead of Springfield, who are just 1 point ahead of Bentley, so there is all to play for in the last 2 races.
