A massive congratulations to our winner of Club Member of the Month for March 2025: Simon Parsons. He was nominated for his epic 27 miles run around Chelmsford in memory of his mum whilst raising vital funds for a great cause, Dementia UK. Well done Simon, I’m sure your WRC family will agree that you did your Mum proud and sure she was smiling down on you all the way round.

Our other brilliant nominees for March were:

• Jodee Mayer – For her continuous support at events and her excellent pacing at Brentwood Half Marathon where she was 5 seconds adrift at the end. She couldn’t have timed it better!
• Irina Ashdown – For completing her first ever Half Marathon at Colchester Half.
• Dawn Shilling– For completing her 55th Half Marathon – she claims it will be her last, we’ll see…
• Will Radley – Cross Country Maestro.
• Owen Dare – he continues to obliterate records like they’re going out of fashion – this month with great performances at the Chelmsford Half and the Essex 20.
• Glen ‘Wally’ Waller – For not giving up amongst his injuries and struggles but is back to beating his PBs!
• Christine Isreal Jones – For pushing on to finish at Orion 15 despite being just ahead of the back marker at the cut-off point.
• Lisa Leader – For her PB at Cambridge half marathon.
