JR 5K Race 3 – 27 June 2024 – volunteer call out

The 3rd JR 5k is taking place on Thursday 27 June 2024 at Colchester Gateway, Cuckoo Farm Way, Colchester, CO4 5YX. I have checked, and there are no Euros matches that night so look forward to seeing you there!

Runners from outside WRC are more than welcome to join us.

Volunteers please!

As a reminder, WRC members cannot run in the handicap unless they volunteer at 1 of the first 3 races – this is your last opportunity to run or volunteer if you want to run in the handicap.

Please could we have some volunteers for the following roles, with arrival for 8pm, please.

• Timekeeper (1 person) – to help me with recording the finishers
• Lap counters (6-8 people) – to lap count for the runners, tell each runner when they have 1 lap left, and to tell the timekeepers when their runners are coming in to finish
• Marshals (2 people) – to cheer the runners around the track, and maybe take some photos

If you could sign up below with your preferred role please. Roles will be allocated on a first come first served basis until volunteer positions are full or Wednesday morning.
