JR 5k Race 3 – 27 June 2024 – final instructions

The next JR 5k race is on Thursday 27 June 2024.

Time:

We do not have access to the track until 8pm, but we will be in the cafe at around 7.40pm for registration. Please bring your bib from the previous races if you have it, if not I will bring some others.

If you want to warm up before 8pm please do not use the track.

The race will start at approx 8:10pm – we have the track booked until 9pm and this should allow most, if not all, to complete the 5k.

Venue:

Colchester Gateway, Cuckoo Farm Way, Colchester, CO4 5YX.

There is car parking on site – parking is free but you need to enter your registration number into one of the tablets in the main building. Do not forget to do this, there is no way to rectify it if you forget. If you can offer a lift, or need a lift, please comment below or on the Facebook page.  Car sharing, as always, is encouraged.

Course:

5 laps of the 1km loop as per the picture below (this is without the bit with the slight incline that was part of the Essex Road Relays!). It is about as flat as you can get and no matter what your watch says, it is 5km.
