JR 5k – race 3 – 26 June 2025

As a reminder, to qualify for the handicap (and therefore the trophies!) you need to volunteer at 1 of the first 3 runs and run in another of the first 3 runs – taking part in a minimum of 2 races. Therefore Thursday’s race is the last time to volunteer, or run!

The first 3 races of the series are open to all, so if you know anyone that wants to come and take part in the first 3 races do send them the information – another record turn out would make me super happy!

The third race of the series will take place on 25th June 2025.

As a reminder, there is LIMITED parking is available at The Angel, Kelvedon, and in the surrounding roads in Kelvedon (please park courteously and car share if possible). Further details will follow, but runners should note that registration will be from 6:45-7:15pm, to allow for 5 minute jog/10 minute walk to the start line for 7:30pm.

Volunteer please!

As always, we couldn’t run these events without your support, so with that in mind we’re here to call for volunteers.

Timings for the various roles  are as follows:

• Registration/Timing (2 people) – needed from about 18:45 for registration
• Course Setup volunteers (3 people) – needed from 18:00 for course setup at The Angel
• Course Marshals (12 people) – need to be out on the course before 19:30

Course set up volunteers can also run in the race; roles will be allocated on a first come first served basis until volunteer positions are full – fewer people are needed for set up from run 2 onwards as (most) of the signs are now on sticks.
