John Roberts 5k – Run 1 – 22 May 2025 – Instructions

20 May 2025 - By Jodee Mayer

For our Runners

The location is The Angel in Kelvedon, CO5 9AN. There is limited parking available at The Angel, and in the surrounding streets, so if you are able to car share then it’s appreciated (and good for the planet).

Registration will be 6:45-7:15pmto allow for 5 minute jog/10 minute walk to the start line for 7:30pm. Scroll down for the course map, with every junction being marshaled. It is an open road course, so be mindful of cars and listen to your marshals.

Please note that to be able to run in the grand handicap finale (and thus win the series), runners will need to participate in 2 out of the 3 qualifying races (at least 1 run and at least 1 volunteer).

As with the pub run pubs, The Angel gives up its car park and front seating area for us to be able to host the races here, so please support the pub if you can. Please pre-order any food before the race starts, and it will be served at around 8.15pm.

Please car share to get to and from your marshal point. The task is to direct runners around the course, warn for cars and collect signs (a list will be provided) and bring back to Race HQ after the last runner (and take photos if you can!).

Any questions please let us know!

We look forward to seeing everyone on Thursday.
