Ellisons XC – Gosfield

36 black and gold vests turned out today at the first Ellisons XC fixture of the season which is close to a club record! 😃😃 Several members were running in their first XC and we welcomed two runners who joined us just in time to take part – Matt Rees and Angela Wray.

Considering the amount of rain we have had, there wasn’t as much mud as in previous years but that didn’t take anything away; our hosts at Halstead have set up a great XC course at Gosfield.

A few thank yous are in order: to Tony for collecting discs and filling in the score sheets at the finish, for our fabulous cake bakers and a special thank you to the Damienettes for their endless shouts of ‘come on Witham’ throughout the race! You were amazing and gave us all the encouragement we needed.

We also presented the Peter Whiticker and Brian Wiley trophies to our first finishers so congratulations to Heydon Mizon and Vicky Hayes.
