Ekiden Relays – Well Done Everyone

15 July 2018 - By Carina Taylor

What can I say but once again Ekiden Relays was a very hot day with runners running in temperatures above 28c.

All runners turned up to glorious sunny weather hoping the small breeze would help with their run around Woodbridge School grounds.  With the first leg of 7.2km started at 10:20 it was soon we all realised from their faces it was hot out on the course.  With this is mind all runners thought best to try and run there best in the hot conditions.

All WRC runners finished their legs but due to heat some found to struggle when finished.

Just to say a massive well done to everyone who took part today, lovely cakes & to everyone who supported us all at Ekiden.

Thank you to David Grainger & Jason Lilley for taking photos throughout the race.

Last Thank You to David Grainger for swapping from 5km to 10km & Lee Blake for running in 7.2km leg 1 & again 5km leg 4 at short notice.

Great team work to all WRC.

Results & Photos to follow.
