The Club Member of the Month for April 2023 is Sarah Naughton for signing up last minute to do the Essex Road Relay (about 12 hours before) despite the fact she was already doing the Little Bromley 10K. Sarah started her leg in the Road Relay about 1 hour after finishing Little Bromley.

The other nominees for April were:

James Cooch – For completing both Brighton and London Marathons

Suzie Low – For her great PB at Bromley 10k, and her dedicated training in the months leading up to it.

David Jobling – For all his help in organising and setting up the JR 5k series, liaising with the pub, marking the course, and dropping forgotten kit off with the captains

Darren Pyne – For completing his first marathon in a time of 4 hours 23 minutes

Gus Maby – His first ever race was the Manchester Marathon in a time of under 4 hours of 3 hours 50 minutes

Tom Ashley – For finally acheving his sub 4 hour marathon at London and for raising an incredible amount for Farleigh Hospice with various fundraising events

Fiona Collins – For her pb of nearly 3 minutes at Little Bromley 10k and her supportiveness to other runners

Lisa Leader – For following her marathon training plan so diligently and completing her first ever marathon at London well under her original target time

Karen Flowers – For always being encouraging and motivating with the slightly slower pace groups.
