5k Time Trial – This Thursday

Our first actual club race will take place this Thursday (8th), and be in the form of a 5k around our Winter 5k course.

The race is free and open to all members, and is a great way to gauge your current fitness level ahead of restrictions being lifted and actual real races becoming the norm again.

The race start time is fluid at the mo as it’s dependant on how many people wish to enter and how many races we need to hold, but it will be sometime between 7:00pm-8:00pm.

The course is two stunning loops of the magnificent Freebournes Industrial Estate, so please park in Tesco, and walk up Pasture Road until you see us.

 

Due to the current climate, please try to maintain social distancing and not congregate in large groups. We will very probably hold two separate races, with the first race starting around 7:00pm, and the second race starting around 7:40pm. Within each separate race we will set you off in groups of up to 6 with the groups starting 1 minute apart.

 

If you are planning to take part in the race, it would be great if you’d volunteer to marshal in the ‘other race’ (either before or after your race). Alternatively, if you’re not planning to race but are happy to lend a hand anyway, then that would be very much appreciated.

 

Please sign up to the race below. You can choose just to run, to run and marshal, or just to marshal. I will close the race entry on Thursday afternoon and publish the start times.
