Club Member of The Month

Congratulations to Jason Lilley who is this month’s CMOTM. 17 members of WRC took part in a virtual challenge to run round the M25 (117 miles) in February. Jason is currently injured so decided to walk all his miles and still finished first, before any of the runners.

Other nominations were.

Dave Holdich – For taking part in the Chelmsford Half Marathon Virtual 10 Mile Training Race and running an impressive time of 1.25.37. Dave also posted into the Witham Face Book page to ask if any other members had run a virtual 10 miles too

Charlotte Roberts – Having made a gradual return to running last year after the birth of her son, since the start of 2021 Charlotte has increased the frequency, mileage, and pace of her runs. In February she ran 130 miles, and has run over 280 so far this year, getting out in all weathers and often with Toby in the buggy!

Laura Swanton – Over the last few months Laura has knocked 3 minutes off her 10km time, and 40 seconds off her 5km PB.  She completed RED January and then went on to do RED February, getting out every day despite the snow and ice.

Rob Frost – has kept up an extremely high mileage throughout February. He has also been on top of the Strava leader board by quite a bit.
