Training Session – Thursday 25th July 2019

“NO HYDRATION – NO RUN”
The structured session for this Thursday is 400m reps along the Riverwalk.
As usual, we will meet at Witham Leisure centre before heading up to the Viaduct along the Riverwalk. We will complete the warm up with dynamic stretches before getting into the session. Due to the extreme temperatures expected, the session has been altered as detailed below;
Run 400m then walk/jog back to the start as recovery.
Repeat this for 12 minutes.
Compulsory 3 minute break for everyone.
Repeat above for further 12 minutes.
Jog back to Leisure Centre.
Please note – at this time the temperature at 7pm is expected to be in excess of 30 degrees. Because of this, there will be a strict “NO HYDRATION – NO RUN” rule in place.
This is to protect those running to try and avoid dehydration and over-heating. It is also advisable to use a 5 star rated sun cream and other sun protection.
