Club Champs 2025 Final Standings

Happy New Year to you all, and congratulations on a great year of running!

We now have the results of the 2025 Club Championships, having entered all submitted Wildcards, and BD5 volunteering points.

There’s been stiff competition this year in both the women’s and men’s standings, and those all important volunteering and commitment points have really made a difference to the overall results.

 

Congratulations to our 2025 winners, Claudia Baba and Owen Dare! Well done Owen on retaining the championship for another year, and to Claudia who improves from her second place last year.

Second place went to Sally Hoyle, who’s had an amazing year of running, and Jamie Davidson, who takes men’s silver for the second year running.

And in third place this year were Karen Flowers and Will Radley. Well done both!

Finally, although not an official part of the Champs, I would like to give a special mention to the member with the most volunteer points accrued this year. These come from volunteering at our track 5ks, JR5ks, marshalling at our Boxing Day and May Day races, XC champs marshalling, Essex Way marshalling, and Halstead Marathon water station.  As it happens, there was a tie for first place, with both Jodee Mayer and James Montgomery having racked up an amazing 550 volunteer points each. Well done, JMs, and thank you (and all the other high-scorers) for everything you’ve done for the club this year.
