Triathlon Results 07-07-24

WRC members were at a couple of events over the weekend:

Jamie Davidson, Luke Mepham and Steve Wherrett took on Outlaw Half Holkham (70.3) up in Norfolk with the swim and run in the grounds of Holkham estate and the bike course a single rolling lap through north Norfolk villages with a cruise past Sandringham . Distances are Swim 1.9km (1.2miles), Bike 90km(56miles) , Run 21.1km(13.1miles).

Jamie Davidson finished with a PB of 5hrs10mins 34sec , It was Luke’s first 70.3. Well done times and splits below

Meanwhile Tom Ashley took on a triathlon with a difference down in Winchester in the Peddle Paddle pace. This consisted of :

• 20km Bike Ride: ride on roads in the city of Winchester and surrounding countryside.
• 5km Run: run along the Itchen Canal
• 2km Kayak: Kayak on the River Itchen, kayaks and buoyancy aids supplied by the organisers.

Tom did this for fun  and got a flat tyre on the bike so had to run the remaining 3.7miles so he could continue with the 5k run and 2k kayak and said somehow he didn’t come last.

Tom finished in 02:18:08 splits below well done Tom!
