Another busy weekend with not one, but two Club Champs fixtures taking place. A huge list of submissions this weekend too, for which I’m always grateful 😊
Harwich 5K race 3
Dawn Shilling was at the 3rd race of this Harwich Runners 5k series. She finished in 28:46, which coverts (don’t ask me how) to an age graded time of 27:16.
Adam Hocken recorded a time of 23:42, which converts to an age graded time of 19:04.
Dawn is currently sitting second overall in the ladies’ scoreboard, after three (of 5) races.
Well done, Dawn, and please come and explain it all to me at some point!
Boxted 10k
A smaller turnout this year at this picturesque, but somewhat hilly 10k. Probably due to the clash with High Easter. Unfortunately, the results website hasn’t recorded club info, so if you haven’t submitted on this one, I won’t have picked your result up.

High Easter 10k
A large turnout, as expected, for this County and Club Champs 10k. Plenty of PBs and a County Bronze among the results – well done, everyone!

Race for LandAid half marathon
Gaz Arnold was at this charity event in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, where he scored a PB of 1:42:21
Quendon and Rickling 10k
Sean Purcell took part in this trail 10k in Rickling, near Bishops Stortford. He finished in 58:43, which was a PB.
Southend Half Marathon
This was also a Club Champs race (despite clashing with High Easter, sorry, but dates were hard to come by this year!). Tony Easter (confusingly not at High Easter) bagged a PB, and Lisa Leader got a bronze standard time. Well done all!
