A very exciting weekend, with a mix of events including the Essex County Champs finale.

 

Wendover Woods 50

James Blackshaw took on this 50 miler, with over 10,000 feet of elevation. He completed the “gnarly AF” course in 12 hours & 42 minutes. Bravo!

 

ATW Remembrance 10k

In the first of several Remembrance Day events, Ross Silverton
was at Debden Airfield for ATW’s Remembrance 10k, which he completed in 1:02:03

 

Hare & Tortoise Remembrance Day

Running laps of (approx.) 10k, the premise of this event is to run as many laps as you want over a 6 hour period. H&T run this event to raise funds for the Airborne Gunner Trust Fund.

 

10k:

6 Hour:

Jodee Mayer   – 1 lap/10k – 1:22:59

Natalie Lilley   – 1 lap/10k – 1:23:00

Gerry Greenwold   – 2 laps/half marathon – 2:07:47

Shayne Jones  – 2 laps/half marathon – 2:08:15

Liz Prior  – 3 laps/20 miles – 3:07:09

Adam Regan  – 4 laps/marathon – 3:59:56 (marathon PB!)

 

Stebbing 10 Miles

As expected, we had a large contingent at the last County Champs race of the season. There were PBs galore, as well as age group medals and a club record* We will await the official Essex Grand Prix results this week before publishing, but expect some good news there too 😊

* Owen Dare’s club record gives him a clean sweep of club records – he now holds all distances at MV60. Well done Owen!
