North downs run 30k

24 June 2018 - By Terry Alabaster

Today I ran in the North downs run 30k which started on the outskirts of Gravesend and run on the trails of the North Downs. The organisers describe the course as tough, brutal, scenic, hilly and challenging. It was. When picking our numbers up we were told to treat it as a marathon because of the terrain although it was ‘only’ just short of 19 miles.

I finished in 3.19.44.

    Hi Terry,
I did this race in 1997. John (Roberts) also. Do they still award a slate coaster as the memento ?
Well done I known this race is tough. I fell over a stile the year I did it.

Hello Langdon, no coaster this year. Good T shirt though. And a few styles. Good half marathon for you in the heat
