December results round up
29 December 2024 - By Natalie Lilley
Races (and certainly results submissions π ) are few and far between at the moment, but of course we had a few of our own runners at BD5 in the form of pacers and puddings, and also we managed to miss an important result from last week:
Portsmouth Marathon
Natasha Layley ran her first ever marathon, raising money for a friend who suffered a life-changing accident. She finished in 5:29:16 – go Natasha!
Elves 11ish Trail
Results for this fun Christmas trail were hard to come by, but it looks as though we had three elves out on course.
5th – Harry Solomon 1:32:24
16th – Gerry Greenwold 1:46:00
18th – Rupert Bulgin 1:46:03
Boxing Day 5
As you all know, WRC members aren’t generally encouraged to run in our own races, as we need so many of you who kindly volunteer. However, we trialled pacers this year (from the existing pool of volunteers), plus of course we now have our traditional double helping of pudding.
As you can see, the pacing was pretty much spot on Β by all – well done! And well done to our puddings who managed to work through the field in both directions π

8 Miles:
Terry Alabster finished 2nd in 1:09:46

Ross Silverton – 1:11:24
Well done to everyone that ran over the festive period, be it Parkrun, BD5+1, or anywhere else.
