Final Essex League XC 24 – 25: End-of-Season

8 February 2025 - By Will Radley

Huge thanks and congratulations to Anita, Richard, and Leo who took on the final Essex League for the season with some seriously impressive performances.

Anita absolutely delivered in the ladies’ race. She powered through the 7.6km course in 39:35, finishing 87th overall and 18th in the V50 age group. Excellent running all around!

On the men’s side, big kudos to Richard Joisce. Even during his taper week, when those legs are usually a bit worn out, he pushed through and finished 50th overall (33rd in the open age group) on an 8km course in just 35 minutes. Not bad on tired legs at all!

Leo Cole also put in a fantastic performance. He crossed the finish line 132nd overall and grabbed an impressive 9th spot in the V55 age group in 42:34. His determination was on full display today.

Whether you supported from the sidelines or ran in the league or the champs, huge thanks from me. It’s been an amazing season, and I can’t wait to see even more runners next season!
