SPOC has arrived

30 June 2017 - By Graham Eyre

The coaching staff are pleased to announce that we are to begin offering our membership help and advice with training plans for all race distances from 5K up to marathon. Much as Martyn Byford already kindly helps with marathon training programmes, the coaching team have decided they would like to expand this service to include all distances. Using the acronym ‘SPOC’ which means single point of contact, you are very welcome to contact one of coaches specifically appointed to that distance (listed below). We hope this service will be useful to those of you who may need advice and encouragement to achieve your goals. Please express your interest in the first instance on the web site so the appropriate person can contact you. At this stage we are trialling the service to ascertain if it is required and of course it will be on a first come, first served basis as the coaches have limited spare time to offer this service.

Regards

Graham

  1. Sylvia Bullen-Bell Sylvia Bullen-Bell says:

    Hi David and Emma,

I think I spoke to you Emma about a training programme for a half marathon (my first) when we met at a pub meet a few weeks back, which will be at Hatfield Forest on 17th September. I feel that I am now ready for some sort of guidance with this if possible pretty please. My next pub run will be on 11th July at The Chequers, Wickham Bishops.

I have not officially done any further than the pub runs, but the other day I did manage 6.22 miles which is practically a 10k.

I do hope you can help,
    Sylvie Bullen-Bell
