XC Nationals 2026

I’m grateful to the committee for approving entries to the XC Nationals on 21st February in County Durham, allowing us to field teams again this year following the success of Parliament Hill.
Selection will be based on qualifying standards, current fitness, and recent performances. Teams will be capped at six men and four women. Where applications exceed available places, final selections will be made at my discretion to ensure we send the strongest possible teams.
Athletes should ensure they are available for the full event and prepared for the demands of a national-level cross country race.

I presume this means the club will fund 6 males but surely folks can enter and pay for themselves over and above this?
