Track Sessions – Coming soon!

Further to my previous post I am pleased to say that initial response has warranted moving forward with an initial 6 week track session at Braintree Track on Saturday mornings starting at 9am lasting for around one hour.

They will be held on 30/4/16, 7/5/16, 21/5/16, 4/6/16, 18/6/16 and 25/6/16.

The idea is to increase core leg speed and VO2 Max ( If you are not aware please google !)  by efforts over very short distances from 100 metres through to 800.

The shorter the distances the higher the intensity and you will be working with runners of a similar ability enabling `feed off ‘. From those already expressing an interest I have an idea of groupings although if you have  not contacted me I will do my best to allocate you a group prior to 30th. To maximise benefit you will need to work in a group however small.

If you are carrying an injury I would strongly recommend that you give this a miss.

I recommend plenty of layers including waterproof together with water/ sports drink for rehydration.
