Essex XC Relays Roundup

Thank you to our WRC members this morning who started what will sure to be super weekend of running right – coming out fighting for their club at Essex XC Relays.

In running order, Liz, Celine, and Anita each fought hard on Hyland’s two-lap 6k route. They represented our ladies’ senior team. Giles, Simon, Harry, and Terry also ran well in a tough division for our men’s senior team.

A special shoutout to Monty and Shane who both marshalled the course this morning and to other members who offered their support. It’s hugely appreciated from me and I know the Essex team are grateful to Witham for this too. Volunteering is a big win for the reputation of the club and ensures these events can go ahead safely.

Finally, I know there were members who did sign up but unfortunately weren’t able to be part of a team today. I hope you’ll consider signing up again next year and consider other opportunities coming up, notably the Open and Champs xcs which I’ll provide details for in the next few weeks.
