Baddow 10 results

16 May 2016 - By Marc Underdown

The Baddow 10 is a firm favourite for many of the club and is a very well organised race with plenty on offer for runners and supporters. Despite the course having very few flat sections, if the conditions are conducive, it is a PB course for many and yesterday it became a PB course for a few more.

It was great to have Mark Finbow back running in Witham colours, and with the benefit of his marathon training in his body, he raced round to be our lead runner home in 14th place overall. There was great grouping behind him, suggesting some close battles between Chris and Heydon, David and Pete, and Andy and Steve. Vicky Hunt was our first lady to finish and wasn’t too far away from gaining another club record which I’m sure will come in the not too distant future.

Despite a discussion with Dave which suggested that she wasn’t going to race around the course, it appears as though Shelley must have changed her mind when the race started. Going more than two minutes quicker than Stebbing six months ago, Shelley finished in 1:19:12 to take the female V45 trophy by 8 seconds from the next person in her category. Congratulations Shelley!

Well done all.
