Life’s A Beach
Jodee Mayer and Sasha Rush were at this Hare & Tortoise event in Holland-on-Sea, battling the wind complete 19.69 miles and 13.13 miles respectively.
London Landmark’s Half Marathon
Dean Whittaker and Sharon Read were at the half marathon, where you get to run around London looking at…well… landmarks, I imagine. Dean finished in 1:40:38, and Sharon completed the course in 2:00:13. Great work guys. Maybe we should all take a moment to think about our favourite London Landmark. Mine is probably the lions at the bottom of Nelson’s Column. Roar.
Wimbledon Common Half Marathon
Katie Layley was also running a half marathon in London, but chose the home of the wombles instead of looking at Big Ben. It was her first half marathon, and she finished the race in 1:55:45. Apparently the terrain was a bit of a surprise, and Katie found herself running underground, overground, and even running free. Happily though, she was able to make good use of the things that she found.
Cold Norton Trail
Despite this event’s name, turns out it wasn’t particularly cold, and nor did it feature the warden from the Shawshank Redemption. It was trail though, so there’s that. All that trail running has certainly done Terry Alabaster the world of good, as he came first in the 5 mile event, tunnelling through a pipe of human faeces to finish in a time of 44:31. Meanwhile, Libby Woodhull, Jodee Mayer, Rebecca Richards and Sarah Naughton carved little ornaments from stones & rocks they found in the yard and finished together in 1:10:19.
Great work everyone
Let me know if I’ve missed your race or result.

Thought for the week: “The majority of archaeologists are women due to their natural ability to dig up the past.”
