Ring Of Steall Skyrace

Despite the name, this is not, unfortunately, a vindaloo eating competition. Mountain man Matt Jordan was up in bonnie Scotland, and racing across the Mamores, in this 29k run with over 2500m of elevation. He completed the course in 7:18:25.

 

Dunmow Carnival Trail

In between going on the dodgems and trying to hook a plastic yellow duck, Terry Alabaster took part in this 5.5 mile trail run, and completed it in 53.06.

 

Jolly Jaguars 10k

Andrew and Angela read were back up in Coltishall for this 10k race, with Mr R finishing in 59:28 and Mrs R completing the course in 1:15:27.

 

Ingatestone 5

Anthony Smith went over to west Essex for this 5 miler, finishing in 44:51.

 

Great East Run

We had two representatives at this event, previously known as the Ipswich half marathon. Giles Sowerby came 44th in 1:25:48, and John Lloyd finished his first ever half marathon in 2:18:21.

 

Layer Cake Half Marathon

Terry Alsbaster was taking part in his second race of the weekend, which was hosted by Tiptree Road Runners. This was meant to be a half marathon, but at HM distance Terry found himself nowhere near the finish line (which he admits, was his own fault), and had to Google map his way to the end, eventually completing 18.5 miles in 3:27.

 

Ashridge Canicross

The Heydonator and his canine buddy Holly took part in this 10k trail race, and came 1st! Great work!
