Pub runs – The Cross Keys
14 June 2019 - By Stewart Waller
Despite the threatening skies and the forecast deluge our trail and road run (routes ably plotted by an infamous local resident) from The Cross Keys in White Notley was well attended with 23 members staying for food (and a good menu it was too!). If you missed out we will be returning to the Keys on the 30th July but, in the meantime, next Tuesday we will be at The Compasses (the Huffer Pub) in Littley Green (CM3 1BU). Probably one of the very few ‘unspoilt’ pubs remaining in the county it is well worth a visit especially as the route, after negotiating the gentle slope of the B1417 to Causeway End, goes around very quiet and picturesque lanes and through villages with quaint names.
If you haven’t done a pub run yet this is one to try; as the chairman said last Tuesday we are approaching the half way mark!
See you there.
