Cakes and bins!
29 April 2019 - By Marc Underdown
It’s just a week to go to our May Day 10 race, so final planning is underway.
As most of you know, we sell tea/coffee/juice and cakes in the rugby club which help to boost race profits and therefore our charitable donations. We rely on star-bakers and donations to fill our cake table.
Some of you have already proactively offered to bake or buy cake which is brilliant. However if anyone else is also able to the same, I would be very grateful.
We have two water stations on the course. As part of their role, along with nearby marshals, the water station volunteers will be attempting to clear up every bottle. To encourage runners to not just randomly discard them, we plan to have two bins beyond each water station so hopefully a lot will find their way into the bin or close by. We will therefore need four bins in total. I would be grateful if anyone has a bin we could use on the day.
Thanks, Marc
