5th Feb – Fast 200s

This week Kerry and I will be coaching Fast 200’s at Gershwin’s Boulevard.

It’s a simple session that many of you will be familiar with… you will run 200 meters aiming for your one mile pace, you then recover for the next 200 meters and this is repeated for 30 minutes.  Your recovery should be a slow jog or a fast walk. The longer recovery allows you to run the 200 meters at a harder effort than you would normally run and will be a pace that most of you are not used to running.

Please ensure that you are adequately warmed up before you start, a warm up jog prior to arrival is very important. As always we will do a dynamic warmup prior to starting the session.

The session will be held at Gershwins, running back and forth along the footpath between Hawkes Road and the Pond. Please meet on the green area where Hawes Road meets Gershwin Boulevard in time for a 19:30 start time.
