Here’s everything you need for this Saturday, 13 December.

 

Location

The start and finish are in Epping Forest near the junction of Rangers Road and Forest Side, North Chingford, E4 6BA.

Chingford Station is about five minutes from the start with regular trains from Liverpool Street and Walthamstow Central.

 

Parking

Use one of the two nearby Corporation carparks:

• Barn Hoppitt, E4 7QH

• Chingford Plain, E4 7QJ

 

Both use Ringgo. Please don’t park on Forest Side. If you’re driving please do offer lifts and carshare where possible.

 

Facilities

Toilets and changing are at the Orion Clubhouse on Bury Road (10 minutes walk). No parking or drop-offs are allowed there.

 

Course

Two anticlockwise laps on forest trails and grass with a short out and back at the start and finish. It will be muddy. The course is fully marked and marshalled.

 

Because the out and back section is narrow, the last runners in the first two races may be diverted slightly on their way back in. Marshals will direct you, so follow instructions.

 

Headphones

UKA Rule TR56 S3 applies. No headphones of any kind are allowed, including bone conduction. Wearing them risks disqualification. As always, you must be in WRC kit.

10:00 Men V50+

10:50 Women V40+

11:40 Men V40

 

Bibs: I will unlikely be there on Saturday, so whoever picks the bibs up first for witham please let us know on the group chat. They will be at the Essex gazebo near the start/finish from 08:30.
