Congratulations this month are awarded to Annalise Etherington for her PBs at the John Roberts 5k (Race 3) and the Springfield Friday Night 5, within a week of each other. Coming off the back of a 10k PB in May, Annalise is going from strength to strength!

A further well done to our other nominees from June.

• Steven Alder – For taking WRC’s colours and running a half marathon over the Øresund Bridge from Denmark to Sweden. Then having to walk another 4 miles to catch a train back as the buses had been cancelled!
• Anthony Smith – He is a long-standing club member, is quiet and unassuming, keeps himself to himself and as such goes somewhat “under the radar”.  He overcame personal sadness in the last 12 months or so and is now back running regularly at club nights when his shifts allow and runs races frequently (always in club colours).  He also runs with the Friday Social Group and always stands his round of tea and cake!
• Vicky Hunt – for her club record at the John Roberts 5k (Race 3).
• David Jobling – DJ has fought back from 6 months out with a broken collar bone back in 2023. He put in strong performances at the John Roberts 5k and Springfield FN5, as well his first race at sub 8-minute miles, for some time, at the Blaydon Race.
