LT Group: June 3rd

This week we build on last Tuesday’s work with 5-minute efforts—long enough to challenge your stamina, short enough to stay sharp. Stay controlled, stay consistent.

 

Warm-up (all levels)

  • 15 min easy jog, broken down as:
    • 10 min easy
    • 4×20 sec strides (30 sec jog recovery)
    • 5 min easy

 

Main Set (choose your level)

Intermediate:

  • 4×5 min @ LT pace
  • 90 sec easy jog recoveries

 

Advanced:

  • 5×5 min @ LT pace
  • 60 sec easy jog recoveries

 

Cool-down (all levels)

  • 15 min easy jog, broken down as:
    • 5 min easy
    • 4×20 sec strides (30 sec jog recovery)
    • 10 min easy

 

LT pace reminder

Run at your comfortably hard pace—where you can talk in short phrases but not full sentences. You should finish the session feeling strong, not spent.

 

Final notes

I’m looking forward to seeing you on Tuesday, but please remember:

  • Faster runners: Turn back after each rep and rejoin the group.
  • Route: Pub-run (road)—I’ll be at the back, so you can always drop back if needed.
  • Prep: Set the session on your watch ahead of time.
