Weekend results
25 October 2016 - By Marc Underdown
The third running of the Chelmsford marathon took place on Sunday with six Witham runners taking to the start line. Heading our runners home was Sean Darney whose running has gone from strength to strength this year. He achieved a massive PB of 3:20:33. Next back was Andrew Lager who had a fine run to finish in 3:41:51. Fair to say that ‘Tall’ Paul Chandler went through the mill and back as a consequence of a foot injury leading him to finish in 4:07:42. Trevor Johnson ran his first marathon (outside of an ironman!) in 4:11:19. Our single female representative was Louise Pascoe who ran a very creditable 4:25:19. Finally Pete Burns donned his Witham vest again to finish in 7:57:51. Amazing performances one and all.
Another result from the weekend was down at the Great South Run, a 10 mile race. Dave Howard had a great run there, beating his time from last year and finishing in 1:46:47
