Weekend results

I am expecting a separate race report to cover our four runners who did the Stour Valley trail 27 mile run yesterday, so I’ll move straight to other results.
Steve Hennings traveled south to do the Worthing 10K, finishing in 48:31, taking 30 seconds off the time he set six days earlier at HBO. Keep it up Steve and at that rate of improvement you’ll be beating Mo in Rio!
Bill and Jo Smythe, Emma Sweeney, Mark Austin, Graham Eyre, Tracey Denby and Kerry Townsend all took part in the very picturesque Dedham Vale Vineyard 10K. I don’t have times for them, though I think they ran socially to enjoy the wine stops – I bet we wouldn’t struggle to attract marshals for Halstead if it took the same form! Good running and drinking skills guys and gals!
Finally the headline slot of this report must got to the amazing Becky Grimwood who has joined the ultra distance club. She ran the Spires and Shires 35 mile race in Northants which she says had a very hilly route, and was especially tough given that summer came back to greet us yesterday. So a very creditable 7:18:53 finish time. Very well done Becky.
