Weekend Race Report – Mark Austin does it again!

Two races this weekend with WRC members braving the unseasonal weather.

Leigh on Sea 10k

We had 4 members running at Leigh on Sea, all tempted by the offer of a glass of prosecco at the finish. On a hilly course in warm sunshine, it was not the weather for PBs, but a good chance to top up the vitamin D late in the year.

Wix 5

Whilst not a Club champs race this year, Wix 5 has always been a firm favourite with club members. After last year’s howling wind and rain showers, the warm weather was offset by a refreshing breeze (otherwise it would have been a bit brutal).

With 22 WRC members running, the results followed the now familiar & predictable weekly race report with Mark Austin winning the V60’s, loads of PBs and some highly placed men with Dave Hunt coming home 4^th and Scott Darney in 8^th (both with nice PBs).
