Results: JR 2016 5k Series – Race 2 – 2 June

Thank you all for supporting the second in the series of this years John Roberts 5k races. We had 41 runners who weren’t put off by the overcast & windy weather and I understand a few got some big PBs so well done to all those that did.

It was also good that John Roberts himself could attend and start the competitors off at the start line. I think it was clear to see he appreciated the warm round of applause at the start line so thanks for that.

Well done to this week’s winners; James Crisp who seems to be coming back nicely into form, the consistently fast Liz Stuckey, and for the juniors Josh and Ellie Beckerleg putting those lounging about on the finish line drinking beer, not even had a run, to shame (i.e me).

The next race is on the 23rd June so make sure you have voted before you arrive! You may even be graced by a celebrity guest runner in the form of the 2014 Mens Handicap Race Winner. No autographs.

A massive, massive thank you once again to the marshals (Dave E, Becky, Theresa, Rachel, Monty, Graham E, & Steve H) time-keepers (Fozzy & Roger), signers on (Tracey & Becky) and course markers (Jobbers and Martyn). I think we can all agree another sterling effort by the lot of them and very much appreciated.
