Results 25/2/24

26 February 2024 - By Natalie Lilley

A very happy results secretary this week, as all of your lovely submissions meant I was aware of SEVEN different events going on 😊

Dark Rose Trail

This 5.4 mile narrative trail by ETE was held on Wednesday night. I know that Terry finished 5th, but the finishing positions on the ETE website are a little hard to determine so I’ve just got the times for the rest of you.

Name Time
Terry Alabaster (5th) 49:42
Shane Ketteridge 1:09:49
Maggie Mason 1:09:49
Andy White 1:12:49
Geoff Reddin 1:12:49
Sue Smith 1:12:49

Hoof Hearted (again) Half Marathon

A scenic mix of road and trail through the Suffolk countryside, put on by Zig Zag Running.

Name Position Time
Shane Ketteridge 33 2:27:48
Dawn Shilling 34 2:27:50

Smugglers Trail

Another narrative trail from ETE, this one was 9.5 miles and described as “muddy”, which I’m guessing was a bit of an understatement from the photos! Clearly Terry had his super spikes on, (or maybe wellies?) as  he managed to finish in second place.

Name Position Time
Terry Alabaster 2 1:20:05
Sian Tate 48 2:03:24
Clarice Sanderson 50 2:03:24
Christine Israel-Jones 51 2:03:24

Tarpley 10 & 20

Annalise and Adam H were off to Bury St Edmunds for the Tarpley 10 and 20 mile races. This was a London training run for Annalise, and a PB as well!

Name Distance Position Time
Adam Hocken 10 miles 242 1:33:00
Annalise Tye 20 miles 281 3:18:34 (PB)

North Downs Ridge 50k

Harry Solomon was back out on trail ultra business, and he meant business this time, finishing in 35th place with a PB of 4:46:50 – well done Harry!

London Winter Run (10k)

This looks to have been a huge event in central London, presumably without the mud, but with the added inconvenience of rail replacement buses today! Special mention to Nicola Digby, with a PB of over a minute!

Name Position Time
Scott Darney 527 40:57
Nick Bryce 1811 46:44
Nicola Digby 11945 1:06:01 (PB)

St Peters Way Ultra

But the award for most time spent in the mud this weekend goes to Tom Warman, who decided that 43 miles of it along St Peters Way would be fun. Tom came in 36th place, with a total time spent in the mud of 9:40:57.

Well done everyone!
