Burnham-on-Crouch 10k

28 May 2018 - By Langdon Williams

Hi all WRC members,

I returned to the club as 2nd claim last week. I am your exiled in Devon former member! 1st claim Exmouth Harriers.
I ran at Burnham on Sunday in hot conditions. I was in Essxe on a brief trip and was pleased to find this race and to wear the WRC singlet again after 20 years. This was more multi-terrain than I thought it would be but nonebthe less a race that I fully recommend. Well organised and friendly.

I was careful to judge the heat and the uneven surface. About 6k on rough ground and a headwind. Last 2k was the best part on the seawall and the tailwind! I was anle to secure 3rd place.

I took home 2 trophies. That’s the best part of getting older you get a trophy for it sometimes!!

My next target for WRC will be Torbay HM in June.

Happy running all!!
