Benidorm 10k

28 November 2017 - By Terry Alabaster

11 members of the ‘old guard ‘ travelled to Benidorm for an extended long weekend. We had 6 runners and 5 supporters.

I can report a fabulous weekend with good weather and even better friends. For those of you who have been before the coach and horses has bought the bar next door so was shut for renovations to combine the two. Where to have brekky and watch the football? We found alternatives. Some cracking nights out were enjoyed as was a visit to Benidorm island (peacock island) where we had an underwater trip.

The race itself was run in warm weather although the long drag up the incline to the turn around point was into very strong wind. There were 800 plus runners so was well supported as per usual.

Our results were as follows:

Mark Lynch 45.57
Terry Alabaster 47.18
Colin Short 55.02
Dave Andrews 55.55
Harry Borley 1.00.39
Michelle Leading 1.07.54
