Your 2016/17 committee

Following the AGM meeting I am pleased to announce the names of those who were successfully appointed to the various officer roles, and I am sure they will all do a great job in the coming year on your behalf. However before the list, I have to report disappointment that we barely scraped the 20% of members we needed to ensure the meeting was quorate and that any decisions were therefore binding. If non-attendance is because you are happy with how the club is run, well that’s great to know. However the AGM is an opportunity for all members to have an input into how the club is run, understand how the club uses the money we receive for member’s benefit, and if that’s not enough enjoy a drink and a bit of cake! That’s the grumble out of the way for this year!
